Introduction, some questions & delivery info

Hi All.

Just joined the forum, think its excellent and a credit to all involved.

We eagerly await the delivery of our (my wife's really) 1.6s in aegean blue, pebble grey and most of the extras (including drinks holder).

Its the new multiplex model and I desperately hope it does'nt behave like a lot of your cars have, seriously worried !!.

We are peugeot fans and our 306 Dturbo / 406 Hdi have been perfect.

Whats the general view on spare wheels compared to the tyre weld as supplied - do the 15 alloys fit in the boot with the roof down?

My wife will be doing a lot of miles in the car (we hope) and the tyre weld worries me.

Delivery - orderd it on February 2nd, will collect on March 30th - 8 weeks only.

If you buy a spare wheel it will fit in your boot with the roof down... but don't hope to put anything else in it!

Any extras you can put in the back rear seats anyway if you don't have any oother passengers.

I personally won't use the tyre puncture kit as I hear it ruins your tyre generally.

You should be able to call the Peugeot AA Assistance if you don't have a spare anyway. (i think) and that is why I'm renewing my Peugeot AA Assistance for another couple of years.

Although I don't have the new model, I've had my 206cc 2.0se for 1 year now (end of March) and I haven't had that many problems... in a year its probably been to the dealer a couple of times... so hopefully this will give you hope!

Hi Tyce - Glad to see your CC is still being on its best behaviour!
I have heard horror stories about the tyre weld too. I think Peugeot have issued it as a legal requirement as they would no way have given a spare tyre on the CC so have gone with the bare minimum.
As Tyce says use the AA - thats what it is there for!
