Does anyone know where the switch is located that gives u boot open or closed indication ?.
My boot light still works when I open the boot but I do not get any indication of it being open with the engine running.
Also , if I arm the alarm (normal mode) with the boot open the alarm still arms leading me to the think that the system is seeing the boot closed even when it's open .
It did until about a week ago when it stopped working - I used to try to open the boot without disarming the alarm first much to my neighbours' annoyance - any ideas
Please someone try this to prove I'm not going mad :x
I know there is something up as before If ididn't close the boot properly when driving I would always get it flash up on the display - not any more though?
I noticed only yesterday that my alarm no longer works when I open the boot even though the alarm is set.
Weird as it always used to go off and wake the neighbours
Please dont say I have to go see the monkeys.
There's a rocker switch in the lower part of the boot lock. This switch is depressed when the boot is closed and is meant to rock over and click two microswitches when the boot is opened. I assume one is for the alarm and one is for the display (and roof).
On mine, it's only getting about halfway around before stopping a few mm short of the switches. If you actually push it down, your alarm should go off.
Either it's too stiff or the spring's too weak. I'd guess at the former. Mebbe some WD40 might help, but I'll be getting the monkeys to have a look seeing as it's going in on the 7th anyway.
