Manifold - AGAIN

I have got a funny feeling that the noise my engine somtimes makes when accelerating through 3000rpm is somthing to do with my manifold again.

Gutted! It has to go in for new seals on the roof and doors when they get them delivered so hopefully they can do this at the same time.

if it is then it's a new manifold .. on mine the internal skin was cracked .. still waiting for pug to come up with the part

Just called them, they are going to have a look when i drop it in for the seals.

Only thing is she just said that no one ordered my seals back on 14th November when they were supposed to.

I can't believe it!! fist they order the wrong ones and then they don't bledding order any!! I could have been here waiting for ever.

Just spoke to them, seals will be in on 7th Jan! (apparently!!!)

LOL one day with all this GM technology that might be possible.

Somehow i dont think that my dealer sticking to their word is ever possible

Hi

I have had a new manifold also, as I was kicking up a fuss and threatning to reject the car for many other problems, they managed to sort my manifold out in a couple of weeks.

I suspect it was taken off a showroom car, or they had my order put to the top of the list.

Dombake, Ive been back twice now with the same prob.... Ive had a new manifold fitted and now we are going for a centre box which will apparently be in on 11th Jan..

Ive still got the noise at 3thou revs, what dealership r u using?

I use Toomey's!!

As i said before it's due to go in on the 7th but i probably won't hesr from them cos they are useless and have to call them to find out what is going on.

The noise i am getting this time is slightly different to the previous one so it could be something else but i'm not a mechanic.

well mine is going in on thrusayd for the replacment .... it took big pug just over a month to supply the dealership with parts !

I was chatting to one of the girls (ooh err) on the service reception who said that shortly before Xmas there was a big row between themselves and Parts.. Apparently, Parts are such a bunch of wasters they forget to order stuff and when they do, dont tell servicing when the parts are in stock!!

One of the girlies from the servicing walked out over it all!!
