I am now also a victim of the mirror disaster

My CC is not even a month old. I was pulling away from a kerb today, and I heard CRRRUNCH!!!. A part of a F****** tree trunk was sticking out beyond the kerb where I couldn't see it, and it crunched my left wing mirror back. Some of the plastic is broken in the base and the back plastic is scratched. The red panel is fine.

I should sue the bl***y local council I reckon. Is it not reasonable to expect that they keep their trees from sticking out over kerbs where they will cause damage to cars????

Will have to call Peugeot to see what the replacment will cost.

OK cause they were closed due to the Christmas break, the guy at Peugeot couldn't order my new mirror till yesterday. It arrived today!!! WOOHOO!!

Just went and picked it up, and only had to pay $394.46 (GBP 130.92) cos they give me 7.5% discount.

Got the tweeter off no problems, but now I need a star shaped screwdriver (I think they're called torx drivers or sth). Are they easy to come by? Can you just get them at your local hardware shop or something?

I do have one of those star scewdriver. But it's just a little one for mobile phone.

I don't know if it's big enough for the job :?

Dead easy to come by. You normally get them in screwdriver sets (the ones with a handle and various 'bits')

well... if you want to hear about mirrors... i got my drivers side one gone on a crash last week, this guy just hit me and run, anyway i couldn´t see the car since it was at nigth on a very narrow two lane road an fortunately, it was only the mirror, he didn´t hit the body and i didn´t get a dent, i was lucky because i had t pull to my right and i had enough space to not get out of the road, i was driving downhill and on the right hand side tere is no raod at all, you can see a deep cliff, so i know i am lucky to be here... as far as the mirror i have to pay around 300 euros... too bad but still lucky to be alive...
Why are u reading this???
