Rob,

To simplify things away from the last post. You say Supagard is a Peugeot option. Can you tell me what they treat, e.g. wheels, paintwork, interior and what the benefits are ?

Thanks

Derek

p.s. this £300 replacement is getting a bit expensive, already up to £600 with the CD changer

I did a fair bit of research when choosing between Diamond Brite and Supagard. As I discovered it's not an option from all Peugeot dealers, it depends if your local dealer is providing it. You can have both the interior and the exterior treated, or one or the other. I don't think they treat the wheels, as Rob said in the other thread, it could turn messy when the wheels heat up. The benefit is that dirt doesn't stick to the surface of the car, it just runs off. Although you do still have to wash the car you get better results for less effort. I think you get a three year guarantee.

Hope that's some help.

Thats right.

I used to love polishing the cars but i dont bother now.

My dealer is doing the package for £150 including fitting mats and mudflaps - good price I would say.

Hi,
Can any one tell me whether this Supaguard needs to be put on the car when new or can it be put on later! My 206cc is 10months old now and I am very interested to get the car treated if my Peugeot dealership can do it for £150 ish. Any views?:)

Rgds

I emailed Supagard with the same question. The three year guarantee applies to new and used cars with up to 25,000 miles on the clock so they were okay with my car being six months old.

PS Like I said my local Peugeot dealers don't offer the service, check with yours whether they do before you set your heart on it. I decided on Diamond Brite when I found out I couldn't get Supagard from Peugeot.

i e-mailed the area manager of supagard in scotland/carlisle for info on supagard and got this quick reply ....

---------
0131 453 6644, Alan Potts (SM)
Derek, Belmont Peugeot in Sighthill, Edinburgh can apply the Supagard
treatment to your vehicle. Their telephone number is 0131 453 6644, Alan
Potts (Sales Manager) will be able to arrange this for you.

The application costs vary slightly from site to site as there may be an
element of preparation work required, generally, the costs for treating
paintwork, seats and carpets can range from £149 - £199 approximately
however, Belmont will be able to give you a definite cost.

The Supagard range of products are approved by Peugeot.

If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.

The only problem is, after buying 3 cars from that garage, i have experience of their technicians and they are MONKEYS

That's exactly why I went with Diamond Brite, I thought I'd rather trust a Mercedes garage that my family have good experiences with than an unknown set of monkeys who'd spend the day playing with the roof!

Like Rachel, I went to Diamond Brite after recommendations from merc owners and wasn't disappointed. I also believe that Mercedes have endorsed Diamond Brite for their cars.

Whoops. I just realised I've hijacked the original subject - sorry Derek!
