Well I have 1.4 206 at the moment so I know it will be better than that and certainly better on the juice than the 2.0. Will have to look out my warm clothes and pray for some sun!
One question that I want to ask the girls is do you feel vulnerable driving with the roof down? Maybe I am being silly but it my only slight worry!!!!
Almost there!!!

Even as a guy, thats something I'm very aware of.
I've only had it for about 4/5 weeks now and I've started to realise that you have to be very careful when you are taking advantage of the extra power you have at your hands (I used to drive 1.4ltr F reg astra). I'm not one for aggressive driving but, lets face it, sometimes you will take the p**s with other drivers. You never know which one will get out and give you a smack

Hi Michelle
Few things I make sure is:
My handbag goes in the boot, and everything is kept out of sight. I always ensure my doors are locked (100% of the time, roof up or down, day or night) which also means the boot is locked, and if in heavy traffic I put the windows up sometimes to just make it feel that litle bit more secluded.
Overall though people are more concerned bout checking the car out as its looks are a head turner!
Just don't make it easy for them and leave doors unlocked and your handbag on the passenger seat!

I leave nothing in the car at all. The only place other than the boot that stuff is kept is the glovebox and that is locked (it only holds a few CD's, some aftershave and an AtoZ though).
I always lock the car when I'm in it and in bad areas (living in London, there are a few), I put the windows up too. I go into the kebab shop or petrol station and leave the roof down but I wouldn't let it out of my sight (to paranoid someone will do something to or steal my baby CC).

Thanks guys. I normally make a habit of locking my doors when I am driving, especially at night but do tend to have my bag on the floor. I will just have to make sure that things go in the boot instead.
I have emptied out my 206 this afternoon in preparation and I am so excited now! I do have to say that I will miss my little 206 though as it has been a great car and I have had no problems with it. Still, I am sure that it's big brother will be even better and more fun!!
Another question! Does anyone get paranoid over the amount of miles they put on the car? I have had my 206 from new for just over 1 and a half years and put 20,300+ on the clock. It got to the point where I didn't enjoy driving it so much because I was worried about the miles I was putting on. Am I being silly?!!!!

When I got mine, it had 5 miles on it. I've almost done 1900 now and it doesn't feel as special saying "look at my new car" to friends. I'm more concerned how many miles I'm getting out of it for my money though. Its a 1.6 and I'm getting about 280 miles to about 43 litres. is this good or bad???????

don't worry about the mileage. my last 206LX had 31k on it when i sold it at 18 months old. i normally do 20k p.a. and there's no point in having the car if you worry about the mileage as you won't enjoy it.
in honesty, i am using an astra i got a loan of for work the now to keep my mileage down but it's only because there is no fun driving nearly 50 miles a day for work when there is no real opportunity to get the roof down.

Yes I worry about my milage effecting residuals even on my SLK, I've done some 16oo miles already over 2/3 weeks. If you cover lots of miles to work maybe a second runabout would be handy.
I don't usually worry about security when driving with the top down but then I drive in Sussex, and the doors lock automatically as soon as I pull off.
Robbie.
