Voted "Best Tyre", apparently - "a road tyre which is as close as you can get to race tyre performance". There's also a run-flat version on the way.

talking of run flat tyres,does the cc have them

some said that if you have cans of moose then they are,but monkeys not able to help at pug dealer.

if they are,any info on then,like how fast and far can you go.

Er, no. It has Eagle F1s which, as you can see from the above, has a run-flat version on the way.

The tyres that come with the CC are run flat and have the mousse can in the boot for that purpose, just not ALexLS's F1's.

They have the cans, but they're not run-flat. The cans inject gunk and pump the tyres up sufficiently to run on them.

True run-flat tyres (such as those fitted to the Mini) can run for up to 150km at up to around 60kmph on 0psi without the need for gunk. You could get them for the cc but they're not fitted as standard.

Just wanted to clear up any confusion

A mate at work has a Mini Cooper - he's got run-flats on his - they're about Â£180 each, apparently.

It'll be interesting to see how much the Eagle run-flats are when they come out.

Also, Goodyear recommend Hi-Q in the UK on their website. May be worth checking for any deals/discounts with them. I can get them for Â£90 all-in from a local outfit.

Goodyear's site is still under construction but Pirelli has some info (it's 80kph rather than 60). The tyres basically have self-supporting sidewalls. You also get a pressure sensor in the car to tell you when a tyre's losing pressure. All good stuff.

they already do Eagle F1's as a run flat just not in the size for the CC.

If someone is bored tomorrow have a look at the Goodyear web page and find the run flat size, ring a tyre place and get a quote. It will give you all an idea of how much daylight robbery you will encounter.

Actually the Eagles aren't "run flats" they're "EMT" -- Extended Mobility Tyre. You can run them flat for up to x hundred miles at up to 50mph. In reality, you need to fit one of those Smartire tyre pressure monitoring systems so you know if one goes flat.
