Hi Greg. It disappeared one day a few months ago. There were a few posts about it here at the time. It had died down a lot. I could do a search  to find the posts for you but I'm sure you're capable of that yourself. Just search on Speedboy.

Thanks Matt.....
That's a little disappointing though for him though - I know Speedboy put a lot of time and effort into setting it up.

Hi Greg, I think Speedboy got a little disheartened when members were slow to pick up, patience is always a virtue but also I think the fact that he changed cars so quickly probably sealed the sites fate. As you know Greg, you wern't the only one to help out a new site and as far as I know, no one got any prior warning, or a thank you before it closed.

So Robbie, I guess the fact that you and Derek were once Moderators is now consigned to the annals of internet history? Never mind, eh?

Sorry HUU, I must change that signature - it is actually a bit of a joke relating to a thread on this forum some time ago.

Basically there was a discussion about whether people wanted only to read about serious CC related issues in posts or whether they also wanted some humour and maybe non CC related posts.

Greg-S suggested it would be boring if it was only a case of people droning on about whether or not they have fitted this or that part to their car or if they had upgraded it and a "dubery" was mentioned by Greg as a ficticious spare part that doesn't actually exist.

I only included my duberry question in the signature to keep my posts CC related even if they wern't.

Sorry if its confusing especially to those non-British members.

GregS, yes a brief flirt with fame!

We're not mature enough to be moderators of a grown up site like this so I guess its back to the back benches again.

Never mind Robbie - i thought you made a good Moderator. Better than Derek anyhoo.
Oh, and Huu? The correct technical name is a "Dubery Firkin" and it is a 3/4 inch grommit that clips onto your Fu-fu valve. In the long run it improves your cars standing grip (but only at low speeds). Hope this has made it a bit clearer. ;)

Gee thanks Greg,

I thought that a dubery was a wild berry caught out in the early morning frost :?
