My first wave ever - Wetherby at about 6.15pm Weds. Sorry - was paying more attention to someone I was trying to let in from my left (so all I know is that the CC was Moonstone or aluminium). Luvverly warm Yorkshire evening - roll on an Indian Summer. (I was Aegean 2.00 cc - no mods at all!)
PS- Do you find that you're a more mellow, considerative, driver with the roof down?
Nice Lady in Wetherby

You spotted me!
My horse lives between Wetherby and Spofforth and I was on my way home from feeding, mucking out etc. I passed you just about by the police station if I remember rightly. I was feeling very down as horse is poorly at the moment and your lovely big wave was indeed good therapy - I drove all the way home with a big smile on the outside and inside.
I do find I am more considerate when driving with the roof down - it gives people more chance to look at the car. I also don't get wound up about traffic jams for the same reason. Oh no I'm turning into a poser!!!!

P.S. It is also me that your brother spots on Garforth Station!!

Thanks Frosty,
It has been a long job I haven't ridden her since March and having the CC has definitely helped as it has given me something else to think about. I take her back to the vet tommorrow for another X-ray so everything is crossed!

Her name is Rosie but on a Sunday she is "Glendales Grey Ghost". Haven't had many Sundays though due to F&M last year and injury this. Horsebox did 90 miles between Mot's! Nice to see you by the way. We must all get together. I seem to remember you saying you were civil servants in a previous post. Hubby used to be before being outsourced to EDS. Are you based in Leeds?

I'm definitely up for a Leeds/Yorkshire (anybody else that wants to come!) mini meet. Suggestions as to where. Somewhere nice in the country that is nice to drive to. I will get my thinking cap on and get back to you. The Scotts Arms in Sicklinghall just outside Wetherby is very nice. Food is nice - just a little bit dearer than usual pub grub but well worth it.

Hi Paul-T,
No haven't thought of anywhere else yet. My local has a huge car park and is easily accessible from the A1 (3 miles) M1 (3 miles) and M62 (about 7 miles). This would be ideal for anyone wanting to travel from further away than Leeds. Will try and think of other places when I get home.

Hi Sue&Steve,
If you have a preference for anywhere you would like to go I am open to suggestions. Ideally somewhere easily accessible for everyone, nice big car park. Doesn't have to be a pub but we're a bit short on theme parks round here!
In fact if anyone who would like to come along has any ideas let me know.
I will put a post on the discussion section and see how we go on.
