I've just got in after being stranded for 4 hours. Whilst driving I had the msgs ABS failure/brake failure so I stopped and turned off the engine. I tried turn it back on again and it was as dead as anything, I didn't even have any hazard lights!

Luckily I broke down next to a Kwik fit garage and the v. nice men tried to help but to no avail. Eventually the free AA assistance came in useful and found out for me that an earth wire had snapped in the engine, but it was a dodgy looking snap, I'm starting to think some1 has tried to bump me off!!

Any1 ever had this??

Cheers

Not had that serious a problem but did have my roof and windows fail on me completely. This was eventually traced to the ground wire not properly connected so it just worked itself loose. Seems there may be a common fault with the wiring system?

The weird thing was the fact that absolutely everything had failed, including hazards. The AA were brill, out within half an hour. I had loads of passers by stop & try help me but me thinks it was cos the cc is such a sexy car and they wanted a close up

exactly i think it was because a girl was stranded, i mean i would never stop for a bloke, only women and old people. But we had the problem in our alfa and we lost all electrics but the engine was still runing so we managed to get back to the dealer
