Rubber seals

If the rubber seals around the door/roof make a 'squeaky' sound then you can try using 'Autoglym rubber and vinyl care' it can be messy spraying it directly onto the seals best use a cloth then apply.

Works a treat but can leave a streak on your windows when you raise/lower them so be careful.

He's right, works a treat, stops all the squeaking and squealing. Get the roof half open and put some on the roof seals too.

The right product for the door and roof seals, to reduce bad sounds is based on silicone or not?
Because there are two products, one with and one without silicone.

I find vaseline Works well and performs longer on the seals...

Autoglym Polish etc is a must on the Paint Work etc..

But their Leather Cream is Crap... Leaves it dull and with a white residue in the valleys..
So I use "Liquid Leather" from Gliptone, leaves it looking & smelling like it did when it left the factory..

Hi Rob,

yep tried the leather stuff, the first time i used it i applied too much and left a white residue, wiped it with a damp cloth to get rid of it.

I see what simon says about the dull finish tho, suppose shiney seats could look like CHEAP PVC !!!!

Nah, it doesn't make it look like PVC.. Cos there is no silicon in it..

It is more like a Satin Sheen.. And more importantlyl no residue and it stays looking smarter for much longer..

Hi Rob,

it seemed to work a treat on my old 206 roland garros with oyster/green leather seats, suppose you couldn't see white residue. now i just use as much, it keeps the seats clean and removes any marks so will stick with it until it runs out then might give the liquid leather a try

This rubber 'squeaky' sound is a common
problem to all the cc or its hapens to some ?

yep it's the rubber seals rubbing againest the glass and other panels, try using a silicon spray to make them more supple.

Re. Autoglym lweather cream - I have applied it once and ended up with no residue, and the leather looking like it did when I bought the car.....errrr...okay, the drivers seat is alot more saggy than when I first got the car (anyone elses like that ?), and the chewing-gum mark on the passenger side was still there - but all in all I was quite pleased ! I'd like to try your suggestion but ain't gonna chuck my glym cream away - costs too much
