Hey all, since a while I have gotten my roof closed without any noises. sometimes it seems to make the known beeping while driving. In this case I would push the button for the roof to close it, and it shuts, and stops the noise.
Lately it has been making that noise again and I went to investigate. I have found the leak, and the part to replace. but I'm wondering how to get to the strut to replace it, or repair it if possible.
(only shortened the link, It's from catalogs.ssg) https://tinyurl.com/206-diagram
in the image it's number 4 on the right side of the vehicle that leaks from the seal up top.
Does anyone have any idea how to get to it? I have tried removing the rear seat, but I had not enough access as it seemed.
I used to be a mechanic for 5years, but hydraulics is not my strong suit. but it's on budget, so I'm willing to learn
Leak found, anybody some advice?

I can't be much help unfortunately on to how to gain access to the hydraulic ram, but have you done a good search on the forum or maybe YouTube.
Either way I hope you get it sorted.

Another thought would be to find one in a scrap yard and attempt to take that one apart.
That way you can learn how it comes apart without the risk of damage to your own car.

Re: Leak found, anybody some advice?
the local junkjard doesn't have a cc in their yard unfortunately. and Youtube was not much help. Tomorrow I will try to go to the wolve's Den, and ask the dealer. I used to work there as intern, maybe they can serve me some tips.
I have found the unit for 50euro online which is pretty cheap in my opinion.
If something comes to mind, or you find some info, please let me know.
The cc will have to be sold soon, since I will have my own restored 106 done, and I will get a company car. so 3 cars in an urban neighbourhood is a bit too much. But I'd like to fix the roof for the next owner

The necessary instructions will be in the Peugeot Service Box software which runs on Win XP. There is an incomplete set of the repair instructions on this site, probably not including what you want, but it will give the the idea of what you get. Pirated disks are available on EBay.

Re: Leak found, anybody some advice?
I am from The Netherlands, Groningen. I could try and drive a bit to get to another junkyard but that would be about 50km away. with the annoying beep it's just mind-killing for longer than 20minutes.
I will look into the PP2000, maybe there is what I could do.
Today I filled up the fluid again, but it still doesn't want to lock. Seems the clamps in the roof-lid don't want to fully lock in.
but I bet if I can change that ram, that issue would be solved. I have found the upper part that holds it in place. but no way to get the bottom loose. anyway, thanks for thinking with me
