Hi all,
In the past 2 months of ownership, 3 times whilst driving the speedo needle has crashed down to zero and then 1-2 seconds later moved back to the previously indicated speed. Other than cold weather, I can't remember anything similar about the times this happened - i.e they happened with the car travelling on different roads at different speeds etc.
The car is a 2003 LHD 2.0 multiplexed.
Any ideas?

Re: Speedo cable or something worse?
Probably an intermittent electrical connection. Try cleaning the connector at the transmission. Electrical contact cleaning spray is best.
