Radio in Peugeot 206cc 2002

Post by dancer »

Hi since replacing new battery. The radio is tuned in to all stations but the volume decreases and increases with some interference. Then volume goes completely. Haven't got code. But it didn't ask for code. Very frustrating. :( :( :(

If it is the standard radio, there is no code. What you describe sounds like weak signal. Check the antenna.

Yep, check nobody has poked off with your antenna or that it's not been changed for a 'bee sting' shorter antenna. They've a specific length for a reason so you'll have issues if it's been changed for a shorter one. It used to be all the rage to do this at one point for styling reasons.

Hi sorry. I know where antenna is. You must have thought I was stupid. I meant the cable that fits on to antenna. Still no joy. going to take battery terminals off and on again. :( :( :(

OK, but it is important you follow the correct procedure, or problems may multiply.
