Thanks Bergen and if I ever get the mesh grills this thing will be half sorted, I sure will let everyone know what happens, but if he's in such bad cash flow situa tion and can't even spare 225 pounds you can bet any money he's taking in will be gone. But why do I've to care what situation he's in, it can just be a lie and mostly likely it is, so he'll be a low life thief until he pays back, why do I've to go thru all this trouble to waste money!!

Not being able to spare 225 is a serious cashflow problem.

If you get on the creditors list (in the event of the company becoming insolvent) you'll only get back a fraction of what you're owed (Inland Revenue and Customs & Excise tend to get the lion's share).

I just looked on the Companies House website and there aren't any companies listed with 'Pugsport' in the title. Either that means that Pugsport-GTi is a trading name of another limited company (that company's name should also be on the website, but it doesn't appear to be), or the company is a sole trader/partnership (in which case it should say 'Joe Bloggs t/a Pugsport GTi'). If it is a sole trader/partnership you could be on a winner in the event of the company going down the pan, as the proprietor is personally liable. If it's a limited company, the directors aren't personally liable (that's what 'limited liability' means -- actually the directors are liable to the extent of the shares they hold which they haven't paid for)

Something just struck me...

If you buy via mailorder/internet, try to use a credit card. If it's for over £50 and anything goes wrong, you can usually approach the credit card company for a refund.

I did - bought a boot liner (£120 ) for my husband's Cherokee for Xmas from website advertising on the Jeep Club's main site.

But when Steve unwrapped it on Xmas day, the cut-out for the spare was on the wrong side (you should've seen his face ) so it didn't fit.

So we phoned, emailed, left messages and the guy just would not respond. So the credit card company gave us a full refund - and the dealer's website disappeared, presume he's gone bust.

(this applies in the UK, don't know about abroad)

Dennis isn't Simon Pugport is he?

If not, he's along way to sue in Hong Kong but then I think he's already calculated that with Gtb5 not getting his money back.
