Peugeot Planet 2000 (early Peugeot) and Diagbox (Citroen and late Peugeot) software together with the special hardware interface called Proxia (but usually referred to as Lexia 3). Buy as a package complete with leads - do an EBay search for Lexia 3 for plenty of offers. Probably worth paying a little more for a UK based supplier (in case of problems). Some offers specify "full chip" which means that the hardware is fully populated (needed for late models).

Diagbox runs on any Windows from XP SP3, but Peugeot Planet (needed for 206cc) has to run on a 32 bit Windows system. If your laptop is 64 bit, the work-around is to install VMWare Player (free), then create a 32 bit XP SP3 virtual machine (you will need the key) on which to run Planet. Works a treat.

You could go with this, provided you don't anticipate using it on late model cars.

If you want to cope with late model cars, go for this, which is (incidentally) supplied with a virtual machine file for VMWare player, so sidestepping the job of installing.

Hmmm, difficult to say. My 2005 206cc is happy with the cheapo one, but I have read about cars of about 2008 which seem to need the fully populated interface.

Yes, just add laptop and stir :)
