Hi,
I removed only the strut by unscrewing the screws on top of it with, I left the tubes in places where they were.

I also have a leak on the parcel shelf strut...do you have reference picture? What lock ring is installed?

I have to say that I didn't disassemble the strut myself, I brought it to a company specialized in repairing hydraulic systems where they replaced for me the rubber seals inside.
From what I remember the lock ring looked like the second from the left or the first from the right.
