Hi All,

Took my cc in today for the recall but the prats at Dixon peugeot, mansfield didn't have both parts needed to finish the recall, even though i phoned up twice to see if they had got them.

The first time they said they were waiting for the other part, phone back in a week which i did, success they had both parts so booked it in for the 28th of december 2001 so didn't have to have time of work.

Took it in today waited a hour before someone came and told me that they only had 1 of the parts, my car hadn't even moved!!!!!

They said that peugeot had send the 2 parts as it was down on they parts sheet but can't find it so they have had to re-order it, should be here on the 3rd of january 2002 so
it's all peugeots fault ?!?!?

Tried to get a free courtesy car, none available, even tried to get there cc demo car but was told i can't coz i wasn't buying a new car and i hadn't booked one but surely they could have loaned me a works car !!!!!

Will keep you all posted as and when i get the recall work done.

If yours need the recall work doing make sure they have all the parts before you take it down, not like Dixon peugeot of mansfield.

Although they think they have found the starting problem, needs a new tranponder ariel and the keys e-programming, we shall see.

Cheers

seems like they are all the same lyndon. arnold clark (edinburgh) totally p***** me off last week. they had told me on the phone the car shouldn't take long to fix. when i got there at 10am, they then said it will be ready later this afternoon. basically they got told i wasn't staying that long, the car was getting fixed and i want a car - eventually i got a 106 quicksilver (heap of junk).

i won't get any further as i am not happy with their overall service, hence the reason i am maling a written complaint to the group owner.

p.s. their quick repair took 4 days !!!!!

Its nothing new.

When i went to go and get my mesh grille fitted, and the front bumper changed, they had it all day and didnt touch it, and when i went there they said it could be done in an hour. Then after 10 minutes they come back to me and say the fog lights were missing, and they werent ordered. Even tho i spoke to the guy who ordered them and he had proof he did. Hmmmmmmmm sounds like someone is stealing parts from the garage.

So there you go its nothing new, just shout alot and you will eventually get through to them, thats my advice.

Thats why I wait in the waiting area/workshop for my car cos they are a bunch of tossers..

I learned that when I left my previous 206GT for the 20k service for 1 hour... 4 Hours later I arrive back and the car ain't moved!!!

My CC was in for the "recall" three weeks ago and their still waiting for "parts"... For a Frikin recall.. Whats that about, Eh!!!!!

funnily enough I dont have any probles. I get 100% service all the time from my dealer.

They even fetch me a cooked breakfast or MacDonalds etc. What service.

But I did set the rules when i had my first problem and no looking back since

true to form my dealer didn't ring on thursday so i rang them on friday, the reason they didn't phone was that the parts are a still on back order, a courtesy phone call to tell me that would have helped but they can't be bothered.

low and behold they phoned my mobile the next day to tell me what i already found out by phoning them myself.

Hopefully by february my cc will have the recall work done.

Cheers

Happy New Year everyone.

Mine went to Currys Peugeot, same company, same shite service, different name!
Apparently there is 3 parts to the recall. Check the wiring loom, check the microswitch types and replace a ‘pin’ somewhere. They wouldn’t divulge where as I might be too technical for my little consumer brain to cope with! This pin replacement is the problem I’m told Peugeot don’t have any of these parts available. Been waiting a month now for them to finish the recall work. Oh well I’ll just have to await their call.

Hi

Same old story from Warwick Wright, Chiswick. Booked in for the recall and 6,000 mile service before Christmas, told it would ALL be done in a day. Took the car in, got a call to say parts for recall not in, but 99.5% certain they would be in the following day. Left the car there overnight, got a call at lunchtime saying that recall parts on back order in France....!! and could I bring it back after Christmas (6,000 mile service done, but I think that this is merely a cursory check on oil and coolant levels etc.). So, duly booked it in for last Friday, received a call to say parts were in, took it in, collected it (no valet or wash done) but found an unopened Peugeot part in the boot after I'd driven home. The part looks like a pin of some description, but I haven't yet had time to chastise WW for this. Not expecting much sense even when I do ! I'll keep the forum posted.

Dixons Peugeot?

Am I spotting a trend here?

I had no problems with my local dealer (Hall Motors) in Warrington. They didn't have the pin on the first visit but ordered it and had it within a week, waited on both occasions for the car to be finished and the 6000 service to be done. All done within 4 hours.

What is the recall for? I am a little worried as I have heard nothing about a recall. Is it because I only took delivery last November?

You should be fine. The recall is only for models built early to middle of last year.

That's a relief. What was the recall for though?

Car radiotr broke. Then whilst waiting for AA man roof jammmed.

Took car to

Warick Wright Chiswick.

they replaced radiator and said my car was on a recall. i had heard nothing about this till that day (car 9 months old)

Parts need ordering from france call back in new year. Did so and i'm still waiting for the parts to arrive.

I can't believe peugeot can get a way with charging £17K these heap of shit cars (beuatiful as they look). then when they try and sort out the problem there are no parts for it!!!!!!!!!
