Hello Everyone
I've joined here today because I need some help please. I have a 206 cabriolet 1.6 Allure 2003 (in Aegean blue, I love her dearly) and the gas struts on the boot are beginning to fail. I bought new ones (yes, they are the right ones...amazingly for me) thinking I would have a go at fitting them myself. Watched a video on youtube but of course because mine is a cabriolet the bottom of the struts are actually within the back of the car and it looks as if the only way to get to them is by taking the back seats out! Surely that can't be right? Am I missing something?
Very grateful for any help please.

Yes you have to take out the back seats. Ive just swapped mine cos i broke the ends off. Its quite easy, all you need is a 10mm deep socket on a ratchet, you will have to remove the entire seat. Then you will have to remove the rear door cards. The gas struts connect right behind the seat belt anchor point through a gap in the body shell

That's very helpful, thank you. Will I have to remove the seatbelts as well, it looks as if I might.

Only the bottom point as it prevents door card removal
