When was the fob battery last renewed? If it has a brand new battery in it and now doesn't work, or if the old battery was taken out to test it and then put back in, I'd try reprogramming it as per the instructions in your Owner's Handbook. If the battery loses it's charge or is taken out for more than just a few seconds it can lose its memory. The instructions in the handbook are simple to follow and won't take more than a minute to do.

No led means no power in the key .. that could be the battery or the microswitch is broken.

hi all im back , i have been looking all over to find pics of the BSI fuses. The car i have is a 206 1.4i auto rolland garros. the fusebox as you look at has the OBD socket at the right-hand side,at the bottom, (the edge of the BSI) i can see some more fuses?. it took me many hours to find out what there were. They are marked A,B,C,D,E,F. i have found pics of this showing right to left ,all fuses/amps. the fuse i am trying to find is fuse E, central-locking/lock unlock. fuse B, is windscreen wipers. When i look at what i have there is one fuse missing?,ahh, ahh, im starting to smile now, my wipers work?. So a closer look revealed that my BSI is marked the other way round, left to right!.The fuse thats missing is E, (30A), central-locking, at last headway.I place a fuse in the slot and the doors are nw all trying to lock, seem to be bouncing with a odd noise from rear left door lock?. the doors dont seem to want t stay locked? im now on the right track,i hope, i feel i have got closer to the problem, as the preveious owner must had taken out the fuse, or it blew, would have been easy to find. i will now look at whats going on with the locks ,any ideas would help

At a guess, the BSI is getting a door unlock signal which should not be there. It could come from either of the front door locks, the door lock switch next to the hazard warning switch (if fitted) or the remote locking RF receiver and associated electronics in the unit under the steering wheel (Comms 2000).

If you are lucky, the fault might be indicated by Planet, if you can get it onto the car. If not a process of elimination is necessary. You could try disconnecting each of the the locks/switches in turn; perhaps that would isolate the cause and tell you which unit to replace. The fault may even be in the BSI, but leave that till last.

Just thoughts off the top of my head.

EDIT: another idea ( a bit way-out) - maybe the key fob unlock microswitch is stuck on - you could try removing its battery. (You will probably have to re-sync it after replacing the battery, but that's easy)
