Hello, I have a Peugeot 206 1.6 HDi Sport.
On my way home from work last night (motorway so was travelling around 50mph as it was through roadworks), the oil light/stop light came on (just flickering at first), followed by anti pollution error and yellow/orange light. I tried to stay on until I could come off at the next junction (as there was no hard shoulder!) The car went into "limp mode" and gradually came to a halt. All the dials dropped and the car stalled. I tried to restart the car but it doesn't even turn over, all the power seems to go when the key is turned, the power comes back as you let go. The car doesn't turn over.
It may also be worth mentioning that about 3 months ago the oil pressure light came on during heavy rain (I was literally pulling up on my drive way) I turned the car off. The next morning there was no sign of the light and it was nice and dry. I then drove the car for 3 months with no problems what-so-ever (i thought maybe some water just got on the switch/sensor as it was lashing it down). Yesterday there was heavy rain and it surprisingly did it again, but this time much worse.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Never take oil pressure warnings for granted. I think Tenpole may be right. Did it make any unusual noises as it *stalled*?
Will the engine turn if you put car in 5th gear and push it?
