Hi, my 06, petrol, auto CC had a full service on Thursday and yesterday I turned the heating on and put the fans on, there was a popping noise but as I was doing 70mph at the time I carried on and forgot about it as the heating was working.
This morning I went to demist the front window and non of the fans are working, I've tried to check the fuses although the numbering systems not great so not sure I've checked the correct ones (I just went my the amps). Anyway, all fuses seem to be fine.
Any ideas what it could be? Could it be connected to the service and all filters being changed?
It's looking like I might need a hotwaterbottle on the way to work in the morning :/

Re: Heating Fan went pop!
Hi. There is nothing in the service that could cause this- just a coincidence I'm afraid.
The plug at the heater motor itself is a known weakness as they can overheat and melt. If you have checked the fuses, I would look there next.

Re: Heating Fan went pop!
Thanks Col, I took my car to the garage that serviced it, they couldn't find the fault. Took it to a peugeot specialist who found the fault straight away, there was a piece of the pollen filter tangled inside the heater fan which had broken the blades and jammed the fan! Considering the original garage but the new pollen filter in the day before it broke, where do you think I stand? I'm thinking they should at the very least put me a new pollen filter in (not that I trust them anymore!) Sadie

A pollen filter is really hard to break. I have never seen it before, but fair play for letting us know.
Maybe go to the garage that serviced it with your invoice and see if they will pay something toward it.
