roof

Post by Rexbodian »

Hi,
Please help! Just driven to work with roof down and parked up, as an afterthought went back out to put it up and it won't move.
There is a warning buzzer coming from the dash when I press the switch.
Please tell me I've done something simple!
It's a 2001 2 litre petrol.
Thanks in advance.

It depends what you did - you haven't told us.

Did you follow the procedure set out in the owners manual? Exactly? If not, what did you do different?

For example is the blind across in the boot? Have you got anything in the boot obstructing the blind? If the blind microswitch doesn't recognise that the blind is across then you'll get a warning sound and the roof won't work..

Thank you,
It was the blind, I had knocked it out of one of the sensors. Only had the car a couple of weeks and will now download the hand book!

Well done. At least it was a simple solution. Enjoy getting to know your car ready for summer.
