Rough Running

Post by mikeyv8 »

Hi everyone, ive got a 2.0 206cc, when I start it it runs very lumpy, feels smooth enough when you drive it but down on power. I have no warning lights at all, ive just replaced injector 4 as that was a code that was showing, ive put the correct plugs in but still it runs very lumpy, you can smell the fuel coming out the exhaust, sort of a sulphur/egg smell at the rear, should I replace the coil pack? Or could there be other things? Car has done 70k and has fsh......

Re scan the codes. You may find you have the same fault on inj #4, in which case you have a wiring fault. On the other hand, I have had injector faults before that were due to coil pack. Is one spark plug wet? Is it misfiring?
Rough running could be other things such as lambda not switching fast enough, or an air leak etc etc
Ideally when you re scan, check live data and see if anything stands out.
Cheers Col.
