Boot lid/Roof lock wont close

The white clip is very hard to close manually as my roof only works manually and when I close it it pops out again and the only thing closing the boot lid is the U clip.Please help as it's very hard to close it and the roof keeps beeping and it's very dangerous to drive like this s the boot lid would open anytime.

I have the same issue! Roof wouldn't go down so tried a manual up/down and since then cannot get the locking clips to hold (They look too far apart!) Any help would be greatly appreciated!

When I fixed the roof the problem was fixed.
I guess that the hydraulic pressure returned it back to its position and since then it was fixed.
