rear windows not closing fully

Post by dr-cj »

Hi. My partner has just bought a 10 yr old 206cc, roof working ok but today the rear windows are not closing. Will the roof reset procedure solve this or is there something else to try? Thanks

Try the fuses first. Roof reset is likely to make things worse.

On one occasion I found that after my car sat around for a few weeks the passenger side rear window stuck partially up after roof closing manoeuvre and I could not then close the front window which is the last part of the rooof manoeuvre. Consequently I just pressed the button up and down until it loosened itself or its brain (only God knows) but never had the problem since. French cars have very sophisticated electronics and they do throw the occasional tantrum such as a window sticking but it has always resolved itself by persistent pressing of the particular switch or turning the car off then back on.
