Hey,
Got a slight problem with my 2001 206 GLX, Before it's MOT last month it had a creaking noise from the front of the car from both side's. Had the MOT done of which it failed on-
.Offside front suspention arm has excessive play in a ball joint
.Nearside front droplink anti-roll bar has excessive play in a ball joint
.Offside frount droplink anti-roll bar has excessive play in a ball joint
all this was replaced, it passed it's mot and the creaking went however a week or so later it came back.. it's only when going under 40mph that you can hear it/ going over speed bumps or in rough terrain ect.. (I live in the country so it's fairly irritating but it really does not sound healthy at all.
Just wondering if anyone could enlighten me on what the problem could be so i can see if there is a way to get it repaired cheaper than taking it back to the garage

Re: Creaking Noise
With the car standing on level ground, do you get any creaking when turning the wheels from lock to lock?
If so, this would indicate a dry ball joint, and would need replacing. If you had 1 done for MOT, the other is also likely to be worn.
If its only when going over bumps, can you make it creak by bouncing each front corner? With both drop links replaced it's unlikely to be them, but could be Anti Roll Bar bushes if they have gone dry.
My money is on the unchanged ball joint though.

As long as water isn't falling out of the sky, the roof can be down.
