Help ! What is correct length of travel on clutch arm?

Post by ian4455 »

206cc 2.0i 54 plate.

I've replaced the engine followed by new clutch, release bearing and slave cylinder. Bleed the clutch serveral times but the lever on the gearbox seams to be about 5mm short of disengaging the clutch.

Does anyone know what the travel length of the clutch arm should be from rest to full stroke ?

I'm thinking there maybe air somewhere although clutch pedel seems to feel ok.

What clutch did you put in? More likely to be that.

Thanks for the reply, clutch was from euro car parts valeo clutch. My clutch arm travels approx 22mm but doesn't quite disengage when in gear.

Just checked the clutch was from euro car parts and it was a Transmech Clutch Kit, part 641735231.

I'm not happy as i'll need to remove this, all my hard work gone to waste !! :(

Wonder if i could get a garage to do it and send the bill to eurocar parts ?!?!
