GREETINGS

Post by JULIE1806 »

I am new to the forum but am pleased to have found a dedicated 206 cc fan-site
Me and my partner recently aquired a 52 reg 206cc which we were really enjoying until the dreaded
"ANTI POLLUTION FAULT" light came on.
The error codes given were for throttle body / pedal sensors which wwere replaced in July by the previous owner. It seems odd that the same fault was re occuring so soon.
Nevertheless our garage replaced both (covered by the AA) so we assumed problem sorted....WRONG

Within a day the fault light came on again which as you all know renders the car useless.
Our garage (who shall remain nameless but sufice to say specialise in the selling of bicycles) washed their hands of it so we took the car to a main dealer who to quote them "re-learnt" the sensors which they seemed to think the other garage would not have done...2 weeks on the car is still going ok.

Would anybody know if this "re-learning" has solved the problem....
Thanks

Yes if they weren't set up before. There is a quite specific process for this and no special tools are needed. Was your former bicycle selling garage the one that begins with an "H" if so, I'm not surprised.

Anyway. Welcome to the forum.
Cheers Col.

When requesting help of a technical nature, please give as much detail of the fault as possible along with details of exact model, engine size & type, gearbox, year, mileage, and any relevant work carried out to try to solve the problem to help us help you.
Better still, put the details in your signature.
