Assuming the pipe is OK, there is a conical ring that forms the seal that you can change.

If that exhaust system is 10 years old I wouldn't waste my time trying to weld it. You'll end up chasing your tail.

Fit a new one.

That front pipe isn't expensive to buy. Would probably cost more to get welded unless you can weld yourself.

You didn't give full details first time around.

£64 Europarts

A non cat front pipe is just over £8

So when was your car first registered? After a certain date you have to fit a type-approved
replacement cat.

Check on the DVLA site, you'll need the registration mark.

OK as it's type-approved and after 03/01, it's not £64 ... it's £129.60 .. ouch.

But all is not lost ... get it from http://www.carparts4less.co.uk and it's £85.20! Exactly same part ... carparts4less is ECP online only! Free delivery if you can wait 2-4 days.

You might also be able to get one from buypartsby.co.uk for £64.60 plus delivery ... call them on 0115 9647 391 or live-chat on their website http://www.buyparts.by.co.uk ...
