KEY BATTERY NEEDS REPLACING - HELP

Post by Monstaswifey »

The warning on the screen comes on intermittantly but I am now having problems with the buttons on the key not always working so I assume it is the battery that needs replacing?

53 plate 206CC Allure - but I was only ever given one key when I bought my little Chav-La so will this affect me replacing the battery?

The key has 2 buttons but I dont know if one is a master key like other cars I have had in the past?

I am also unsure what battery to buy and what happens if I need to reset it etc..........conflicting advice online on how to do it and cannot afford to be without a car when I do chnage it.

Any help welcomed - thank you
Monstaswifey ;-)

If you are unsure, why not take it to the dealer. If something goes wrong (and it usually doesn't) they would have to sort it out.
It's a quick job so I wouldn't expect a huge bill.
Why not ring them and ask?
Cheers Col.

This thread may help you.

If you are fairly quick then it shouldn't need resetting but if it does need it then that procedure is covered in the owners manual.

If you get stuck ask again. There is an owners manual here:
