beeps after bumps #SOLVED HOPEFULLY#

Post by daveA76 »

bought a 2003 206cc today al was well untill going down a gated road with the roof down when it started to beep at me when doing over 5mph, ive manually reset the roof to the closed position as per the instructions on here, opens and closes fine now untill i drive it one bump in the road and its beeping again and needs to be manually put back up and all works fine again till i go over a speed bump or pot hole
when it been reset it opens and closes with all the correct bongs etc even without closing the front latches, so thinking it must be a microswitch but which one is the most obvious

any ideas anyone ?

thanks in advance Dave

think ive sorted it now been through the micro switches pressing them one by 1 while it was in the "beeping" mode, and the one i think it was microswitch "i" allowed me to close the roof after pressing it so bent the metal strip to enable it to make more contact when the roof was open better result but still beeped when going over big speed bumps, so increased the diameter of the pin which activates the switch, and after a 40 mile drive on some of Lincolnshire's rally stage like back roads and going down some gated roads driving it like id stole it = no beeps, hopefully this will have sorted it and will keep the wife :) and keep her out of my vxr which = :) me
