Throttle cable appears to be snagging

Post by Scottsdale28 »

Just bought a 206 for my daughter all was well until we stopped at traffic lights but the engine was revving at 2500, lifted the bonnet, fiddle with the throttle cable and heard a click (not a very good description) freed itself and returned to idling revs. Its appears to be snagging on what can best describe as eyelet which the throttle cable is threaded, about two inches to left of the actual throttle. Any ideas on how I can stop this from happening?

I thought 206 CC's all had electronic throttles, so no cable?!? :?

The car is 2001, when I pull back the cable it revs up.

Crikey, I didn't even realise they made CC's back then - I thought the earliest ones were Y reg, which was 2001 wasn't it?
