H7 you can, H4 is almost impossible

When I try wiggling it the whole things wobbles about. I'll give it another go. I'm just worried that the bulb pins end up breaking off in the connector. That'd be just my luck!

You are more likely to break the retaining spring clip. Hold the bulb and wiggle the plug off. Don't touch the glass of the new bulb with bare fingers either

use a see-saw movement in line with the pins don't do a side to side one as you will break the pins off.
