Was it really for me?

Post by essexsj »

Hi all, just joined this forum as I have purchased a 2002 206CC 2.0 SE.

I bought this to replace my girlfriend's MG ZR which has always been IMO a bit of a fugly mobile, and has recently been getting on my wick just seeing it parked in the driveway and being a diesel, sounding like an agricultural vehicle driving down the streets. I run a Honda CRV purely for my sporting requirements …I kitesurf, so this suits my needs for getting my kit to the local beach and back really well, and it gives me scope to let it get a bit grubby.

The 206CC caught my eye, and seemed quite a fun attractive looking car, and would kind of suit us both, now the kids have all flown the nest, and there is now no need for a family car as our main vehicle.

Anyhow, I had this recently purchased 206CC in my sole possession for the first time yesterday afternoon and put a bit of mileage on it down some national speed limit routes that are a favourite of mine …oh yes …I'm impressed with the handling, and am so impressed with the torque range in all gear ratios, bit of a shame the weather wasn't quite right for a bit of top down cruising along Southend seafront.

Being in colour coded silver, the SWMBO absolutely adores it, but I can imagine that I can 'butch' it up just a tad to make it a little bit more geezer friendly, but generally, a very impressive and well thought out design

As you can tell, I'm from Essex, maybe a few of you are from this neck of the woods also?

Welcome to the forum.
I bought our 'CC for my wife, but having driven it a few times, they do grow on you.
Cheers Col.

Not sure you can without huge expense. Have you seen the Ecosse bodykit? That looks pretty butch!

Whoa…that's massive butchness …I'd only get that done if it was mine, all mine
