So Who’s the Oldest 206 cc driver then?

Post by Bananas50 »

I’ll start; I’m 62 and a bit……

I’ve had the car for a few days now, no problems so far. I always wanted a convertible after two failed attempts with an Austin Healey Sprite in 1976 (with a cracked block) and rashly cutting the roof off a Mini Clubman in 1992, I’ve finally made it!

Mines a ‘02 Auto, it was a toss up between that and a MR2, the 206 cc won on practicality, as I will use it daily until I retire.

The forum is invaluable, very informative, because of it, I knew what to expect in advance and quite enjoy the rattles and space saver wheel arrived from eBay five days before the car did. Keeping my fingers crossed that mines a good’n.

Well done Brian, you're in the lead, can we beat 74?

Had mine a week now, plenty of heavy rain and no problems, just a broken foglight from chippings. Really beginning to enjoy it. although I've not taken the roof down since I got it home!

Fell in love with the Peugeot 206cc  wish she didn't cause me so many problems but I wouldn't have her any other way!

I'm feeling 104 today, does that count? have I won?

What problems han18?

Had mine a month, had the cambelt done as its 10 years old. Last week had an automatic gearbox fault warning light & travelled 8 miles in one gear (until I thought about restarting the engine) that solved the fault. Someone said I had a back light out, but whenever I check its working! Rattles beginning to annoy now but I'll look a that when the weather is better (using tips from here). And my Mpg is pretty low at about 30 but............. can't wait until the spring, got the 'Peugeot' beanie hat and gloves ready.

cars rattle more in the winter / colder months due to the plastic contracting and less in the summer its because of the plastic trims in most cases.
