Comm2000 unit is the indicator / headlight switch assembly as fitted to post 2002 cars, and you can't fit the earlier one.
You can change it yourself. Make sure yours has got the same amount of plugs on the back as the new one.
Cheers Col.

You'll need to take the steering wheel off as it fits over the steering column. That means removing the airbag .. disconnect the battery for about 20 mins to let the airbag discharge, then it unclips from the steering wheel. Hold it away from the wheel slightly while you unplug then place the airbag somewhere safe.

Remove the torx bolt from the end of the column and pull the wheel off. Then you can get the comm 2000 off.

Replace in reverse order with a drop or two of loctite on the steering wheel bolt, and torque it up to the right setting.

(I had to change the airbag squib on our 2002 HDi and later replaced the steering wheel for a leather one, so I've done this a couple of time and it's not as daunting as you think!)
