engine will not start

please can you help me my 2004... 1600 cc ,, 5400 miles.. every now and again will not start it will run ok for a while and then another time will not start the starter motor turns the engine over fine but it wont start but if you push it to bump start it will start no problem and then will start normal again until the next time. there are no warning lights on and has a new battery i have owned the car for five years with no problems at all the engine runs perfect and all the electrical connections seem fine..it does this when the engine is cold and warm i can park it up then go to start it and it wont start until you push it and it starts easy no problem...then its ok for a few weeks or a few days whichever,thanks

possibly a loose connection if it does it when its hot or cold and only happens every so often.

not very helpful i know but have a look round and check all wires etc and earths
