I don't recall mine ever doing that. Sounds like there's something needing attention.

Re: stop light flashing
Pretty sure it does that if the door is open and the engine is running ....

Re: stop light flashing
Well I was pretty sure mine didn't do it either
So I went and checkedand it doesn't
With the engine running if either door the boot or bonnet are open it beeps and a car symbol with
the relevant door open comes up on the centre display
Like Sue said the STOP light on the dash usually means something big has gone wrong and you should stop the car ASAP!!
Sounds like the seller is trying it on
If you're not happy then I'd suggest walk away there's plenty of CCs for sale this time of year

Re: stop light flashing
I changed the wiper mechanism on a 1100cc 02 reg the other week for a freind and when he collected it he forgot to shut the door properly and the STOP light on the dash was on, checked oil & water levels then shut door properly and light went out !!!!!
You live & learn
Just go back and start engine and leave slightly open and then shut it and look for the STOP light, if on when door open and off when shut you have your answer. As the Meerkats say "simples"

Look at page 28 of the manual. http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/downloads/handbook.pdf
It's nothing to do with the doors. The door open is covered in the multifunction display.
JohnBrander. Your friends car isn't a 206cc. Different system??
