Hi all
Fairly new to the site and have been greatly impressed.
Have a 02 2.0 16v SE. The front battery terminal keeps jumping off, its a clip on type and am scared that it will damage BSI. Have read the instructions on disconnecting battery so that I can change terminal clamp, but have one question about activation of other key fobs during the 3 minute wait. We have a wireless room thermostat set up in the house and it causes battery drain on our Range Rover P38A as the RF unit picks up its message. Is this likely to affect the Pug?
Not had any problems so far but felt it worth checking.

Re: Re: Battery disconnection method
Unlikely. Just do the job as far from RF source as possible to be sure.

Re: Re: Battery disconnection method
Have you got the right size battery. The 206cc ones are taller than the standard 206 one. If yours is the shorter one you may need to pack it underneath with a piece of wood or similar so that the leads reach the terminal properly.

Re: Re: Battery disconnection method
Good call GrandadMonkey, leads reach but battery can move backwards forwards up and down as its too short and not long enough. This is probably why the connection comes loose. Thanks.

Re: Re: Battery disconnection method
VERY good call! I didn't realise that I had been supplied with the wrong one - looks like I have a little packing of my own to do - thanks for the alert.
