Have you tried taking the fuel filler cap off when this happens? I had a similar problem on a Peugeot 305 many years ago. It would travel about 10 miles and then cut out. It turned out to be a blocked petrol tank breather pipe. You could here the woosh of the vacuum when the cap was undone. Cleared that breather pipe out and it was right as rain again.

However, if yours is happening more quickly than that then it suggests an electrical rather than a fuel line issue. Battery/earth lead/connections, ignition switch, immobiliser ring, crankshaft sensor, or something of that ilk.

Could be a failing crank trigger

I think Capncol means the crankshaft position sensor, the last specific item that I mentioned in my previous post. When these fail they fail to produce the necessary signal to produce a spark at the spark plugs so the engine will not run.

Not expensive, nor that difficult to replace.

Typically when hot.
They are made of a coil of fine copper wire. If it has a high resistance break, heat can expand the coil and pull the broken ends apart causing loss of signal.
