My driver side wing mirror was bashed and now it's in need of replacement. Is this something I could do myself (always keen to try my own repairs), and where can anyone recommend a place to get one?
Thanks,
Allen

Re: Drivers wing mirror
Yes they're pretty easy to replace
Downside being they're expensive even breakers want £100 (ish) per mirror
Sometimes IF you're really lucky they do appear on Ebay from private sellers, but they still fetch £75+

Re: Drivers wing mirror
How do I find out the part number of the mirror I have at the moment? Mine is a heated mirror, would that be the same?
A local garage said it would cost £197 direct from Peugeot.

Re: Drivers wing mirror
take the tweeter cover off and if you have the same coloured connector as in the link (orange) it will fit

Re: Drivers wing mirror
I presume by that you mean the speaker cover that is in the mirror housing? I removed that and was presented by a speaker that I couldn't then take out! How are you meant to remove the speak? It seems to twist a bit, but I didn't want to force it and break it.

Okay, did what I should have done first, looked in my Haynes manual. After removing the mirror inner trim I could see the connector. It looks similar to the one on the eBay, but I couldn't work out how to remove it (any hints?). It looks like the back of it is black, with an orange bit that is inside the connector (like the one on eBay).
I've attached a picture, is that what you would expect?

Re: Drivers wing mirror
I won on eBay and paid £86. That was a lot cheaper than I was quoted from a Peugeot dealer, so I hope I got a good deal.

Re: Drivers wing mirror
Thanks for the tip Craig, I had seen that question asked on another post. Mine will be different, but ready for the swap! Now just waiting for it to arrive.

Re: Drivers wing mirror
Just replaced the wing mirror. It took all of ten minutes and a couple fiddling round with the coloured cap. I'm really glad I didn't pay the garage £200 to do it!
Is it worth keeping the old mirror, or does anyone need one for spare parts?
