Chrome Hoops - New Requests

I'm back online now with my laptop after 6 hours of technical wizardry, luck, guessing and around 2 million hitches along the way

Anyway .... anyone interested in the chrome hoops, drop me an e-mail and i will see what i can do. not making any promises as there were a few problems last time round due to bad luck with different things happening - nothing bad, just incompetent banks etc...

the main reason i got them for the others in the 1st place was down to the fact that i wanted them and found a price competitive supplier in germany and thought it was only fair to let fellow forum members benefit as well.

anyway - thinking of going for some sleep now zzzzzzzzzzzzz

I paid Â£130, not sure what the final figure was, especially as it went at bit pear shaped at the end with Derek having to send them out individually. Not sure whether we'll end up with a refund or an extra invoice from Derek!

Glad you got your laptop back up Derek. I can feel your relief from here. My computers 30GB hard disk failed a year after I got it but fortunately was still under warranty.

All I can say is BACK UP NOW while you have been given a second chance. That's what the good Lord invented CD burners for!!

Do it every one or two weeks.

nah have the old servers from work like I do.

It has RAID 5 disks so if 1 fails it keeps running

if 2 fail - B######S

But being as I have 3 servers (I know anorak at home - lol ) I just back them up to each other.

Maybe I should host this website for Lyndon instead

matt,

i don't have a cdr as for laptops unless things have changed recently they are expensive and very slow.

might get a zip drive that will be better than nothing or in the event of my laptop suddenly getting lost and an insurance claim arising i might buy one with a cdr built in

i still hope the final price to be Â£122 as Simone is sending a refund of 50 euro's. postage was going to be very similar whatever way they were posted and taking into account i received them on tuesday and they were delivered on thursday where people were in then it wasn't too bad.
