Just joined this forum (due to problem explained below) and very impressed with huge amount of information posted - if anyone could point me in the direction of which posting/video or manual to view or buy that would be great. Apart from a Peugeot main dealer (£95 an hour anybody...) or a Mini specialist, I don't know or trust any garages locally who I think would have any more idea then me.
Have had the wife's CC a couple of years and it's been great, no probs whatsoever. Then I decided that as it stands outside a lot, all the rubber seals around the roof panels, boot etc. could do with a clean and softening up to prevent leaks. So started the car, and switched off when it was half-retracted (the handbook doesn't say not to, but can I hear you all saying 'Nooooo'...?)
The roof sections must have slowly dropped down, then the roof cover / bootlid wouldn't shut (no power), even manually. The handbook instructions are a bit vague - have lifted the white catches, but it seems that the back number plate panel of the boot should hinge in the middle - it doesn't, the lid is stuck at 45 degrees, and I can't get the roof up manually.
So the CC is in the garage with roof stuck down and the lid unable to close properly. Anyone else been as stupid as me or able to advise? TIA Geoff

Page 4 of the owners manual:
Never release button 3 for any length of time, nor switch off the ignition, when the roof is in an intermediate position(neither completely open nor completely closed).
There are answers within this forum. Search the section on the roof.
Good luck.

Hi Geoff and welcome to the forum.2997v8 wrote:...if anyone could point me in the direction of which posting/video or manual to view
I bet you are in a whole heap of trouble with your wife. There are a few stickies in the roof section that may help you. Try this for starters http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/repair-20 ... im01f3.htm and there's a video of the manual procedure here viewtopic.php?f=5&t=12075.
Good luck and let us know how you get on!

Managed to get my roof/bootlid down, then run the engine for a bit (to repressurise the pump, etc?) and it all went back / continues to retract fine now. Wouldn't have managed without the links to diagrams / video via this forum - great work everybody involved.
I will NEVER stop the roof halfway again!
