Roof not working **************FIXED***********

Post by mobileguru »

Hello ,Members

I have just bought a 2002 model 206cc 1.6 57k on the clock and £1,200 down and i am having problems with the roof

I notice somebody has allready had a mess around with it trying to get it to work but no joy .

when i press the button to open nothing happens

i do know that the battery on the car is nearly to end of its life , could this be the cause instead of mechanical failure ?

thanks in advance :love-thx:  :trumpet:

Hi mobileguru and welcome to the forum!

You mention a dodgy battery, I can't be certain that this is the root of your problems but I wouldn't attempt to operate the roof if the battery is failing. I would suggest you price up a new one at your local Peugeot garage, I replaced mine last year and it was cheaper from them than anywhere else.

If you haven't already, familiarise yourself with the operations manual, here http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/downloads/handbook.pdf, especially the roof procedure and if you are still having problems post back.

Well done so far. Thank you for feeding back - may help someone else in future.

My airbag light comes on occasionally, usually when the driver's seat has been adjusted. A wriggle of the wire under the seat sorts it. Must be a slightly loose connection. Hope yours is something as simple.

Good luck with the rear lights issue.
