Car Wont Fire/Stay Started In Cold.

Post by Dannye206 »

Hi, Ive got a Peugeot 206 1.1 Style Petrol. 52 Plate,
Recently having problems with it starting.
Yesterday morning it would not fire at all It wasn't even trying to fire.
I took off battery and recharged for a few hours and put the batery back on at about 4 in the afternoon, It was firing up and cutting out after a second or 2. It did this repeatedly about 20 times, then would not fire at all.

Charged battery again and put it in this morning.
Weirdly after I put on the battery and turned the car over it started first time and cut straight out again. Then it would not start what so ever, Not even trying to start.

Any Ideas?

Help Really Appreciated.

Cheers.

Hey,
Ive just started driving my cc (purchased just before christmas) and i'm having the same kind of problem.
When I start it in the cold, it 'judders' and then sometimes it will cut out. If I start it and then gently rev the engine, there are no problems from then (no cutting out and no problems when driving), but I don't want to be going through life doing this!! I would just prefer for my car to start normally!
Any information on this would be GREATLY appreciated :D :D :D

I have this problem, let me guess usually worse when started from the cold for the first time each day. car feels fine on fast idle around 1200rpm but at it lowers to around 1000rpm the car judders quite serverly? sometimes even dropping down to 2 or 3 cylinders?
When warm and idling aty 800rpm the car feels fine and when warmed through it even starts nicely?

I have so far changed the Coilpack, Map sensor, spark plugs, idle control valve, flushed the injectors, cleaned the fuel system, flushed the engine with valve treatment and also had had the car serviced and plugged into a diagnostic machine while experiencing the problems. And I'm still none the wiser.

I have it book into a very expensive car ECU diagnostic specialist next week to see if there equipment can locate the problem, it's driving me nuts!!!
