02 206 1.4 hdi front control arms and roll bar drop links
Hi everyone I hope I am in the right place on the forum if not could one of the moderators direct me to where I should be thanks. As in the title my wife owns this car which she has had for about 18 months now it is due an MOT shortly which it will fail we had an advisory last year of wear in the roll bar drop links which I am hoping will cure the horrible rattling and banging on any slightly unlevel road and a friend of mine who is a fitter at a London transport bus garage had a look at it last weekend and confirmed they were knackered and also advised to change both front wishbones which I believe are also called track control arms so as I am not wishing to lose the wife just yet I have purchased a pair of drop links and wishbones and intend to fit them this Thursday 14Th so the wife is taking my car to work and I am taking the day off to do hers. So my question is how much of a job is this could anyone give me a layman's terms run down on what the job involves are there any snags I am likely to run into and after it is all fitted will the car need the tracking or wheel alignment re adjusting from what I have seen of the new parts it all looks fairly simple stuff and my friend said I should be able to take it apart and fitting is just the reverse I hope he is right???????? thanks everyone for any help you can offer Chris
