Had my service done it needs a bit of work..... hes gonna put a new timing belt on, cu boot (whatever that is lol) driveshaft oil seal and needs rear discs and brakepads, although its just had a mot so would have thought it wouldnt have passed with the discs and brakepads??
Hes also gonna put the diagnostics on for the antipollution fault but im not having to pay for that, he seems to think its the lamber sensor cos its had a new cat on without em doing the sensor! Which he said is to my benifit cos the cat is a lot dearer!
OOh ive also ordered a some chrome roll bars and a windbreaker!!!!

Thanks, Torquay was good. The weather was fine and warm, and we got in 3 nights dancing.

Sounds as if your nephew is very thorough. He's doing everything to try to ensure the car will last you. You'll appreciate the wind break, and the chrome bars will look nice.

The constant velocity joint boot keeps the grease in. If it has split or come off then you lose the lubricant and the joint wears prematurely. The timing belt should have been ok for another 2 years but he's playing safe which is a good thing if you intend to keep the car a long time. If the timing belt breaks it usually wrecks the engine. Mechanics will often fit a new water pump at the same time as renewing the belt, because if the water pump should fail soon afterwards, the same amount of work has to be undertaken all over again.

As for the rear brakes they might have been ok for the MOT but he probably feels they wouldn't last for another 2 years to the next service, hence renewing them now.

He seems to know what he's doing. Trust him.

Had the diagnostics done (free) yay!!! It showed up as lambor sensor but he said it could be the dodgy fuel and the fact the cat had been changed previously so he cleared it and im now waiting to see if it comes back on while using the decent fuel! Fingers crossed
Got him to put my roll bars put on too over the weekend but to be honest im not 100% happy with them they dont cover the holes properly from the original ones so my hubby gonna have a look see what he can do to make em fit better! Look nice though till ya look close up lol!

Unfortunately the non-Peugeot ones don't tend to fit as well as the originals which come with black washer like piece that makes them perfectly...but then you do have to pay around £200 for them!

Thanks Guys, I'll have a look on ebay....
Also, do you know where the best place to buy lexus style tail lights are ? the smoked effect ones? I've looked on e-bay but they still seem expensive.......
