My Peugeot 206cc engine management light kept coming on and display said antipollution fault. Took it to garage who put it on diagnostics which said it was an injector. They put injector cleaner into petrol tank and it was fine for about 6 months. Started doing it again but this time when the light came on the car would not pull when I put my foot on the accelorater, almost as though there was no fuel getting through. After about a mile the car would suddenly surge forward and drive normally, as though it had cleared. Light stayed on but when left overnight it was off in the morning. Garage put it on diagnostics again and it still showed injector so they changed it. Next day same fault again but getting worse daily. They now say it is the ECU and obviously it is very expensive. They say they have tested everything else and it can only be that. Obviously I don't want to pay this kind of money out if it's not going to solve the problem. Anyone had anything similar?

Hi,

That happened to me and a new catalytic convertor costing near enough £300 was the result....had engine failure light coming on 6 months later and that was a new coil pack which cost an additional £250...THey had done the diagnostics test on mine as well... Good Luck
