Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone else experiences this problem. When I have roof down and the side windows up, they rattle against each other over bumps. Could drive with windows down but I imagine it would be very breezy at speed. Any thoughts

It happens with all of them. Convertibles lack the rigidity of a hatchback or saloon car.

Helps if you keep your speed down over the bumps.

A wind deflector is a worthwhile investment. Wouldn't be without ours.

Yeah I saw lots of posts on here saying how good a wind deflector is. Am I right in thinking this is the black meshy thing that sits at the back or front of the roll bars? What does it actually do? I read it stops back passengers getting stiff/chilly necks, does it stop noise or wind or both?

Once its in place do you have to remove it and store it when roof goes up or does it stay where it is regardless?

I may buy one and try it - but I havent got my sereo going yet (took factory one out and plugs didnt fit one from my old car) so when I get that done I'm hoping some good tunes will cover the wind :lol2:

Yes. I leave ours in as it hides stuff on the rear seats. Only take it out when we carry passengers in the back which is once in a blue moon. Stops the blustery noise and the wind.

It's not just bumps, but anything other than totally smooth tarmac that they can rattle. I understand the lack of rigidity in a convertable, it just seems a bit excessive, and a worry of glass against glass. You would think peugeot could of incorporated a design where somehow the windows would fix/slot together when up & when roof is down.

I suppose you probably get that with something more expensive like a BMW or MERC.

Does wind deflector reduce buffeting if you choose to have the windows down as well.
